PROFILE

Profile

Yukiko, Japan, she lives and works in Tokyo.

In 1996 she graduated from Ryukoku College with a major in Buddhism, then went on study abroad in England.

Yukiko, she has been familiar with painting and design since her childhood, influenced by her father.

She was interested in "life and death" and "living" when at the time of teenager, this is the reason to choose the majors in Buddhism at the Collage.

After she graduated from the college, she decided to study abroad at England where she had been admired and fascinated to the British cultures as well as fashion, art, music and architects which she had always loved.

The unique world with its mixing of tradition and novelty were knocked her out completely.

She then worked in the fashion industry, but started painting impulsively around 2018.

She has received high acclaim both in Japan and internationally for her ability to express herself with original coloring and compositional skills as she goes with her passion.

Inspired by nature, the universe, and the earth teeming with life, she paints mainly animals.

Yukiko would like to continue her creative work with the themes of environmental issues, nature conservation, and world peace.
